DS3/T3 lines forms the basis of business networks hubs for big organizations. One main reason that despite being greatly beneficial for business most organizations and business houses shy away from T3 Lines is their rather heavy charges. DS1 line signals are interconnected usually at Central Office locations at a common cross-connect point known as a DSX-1. Telecommunication service providers continue to build out and architect the communications infrastructure, specifically the 3G Wireless and 4G Wireless networks. An Internet T3 connection is a dedicated line that provides six-hundred-seventy-two 64 Kbps of data or voice channels or equal to 28 T1 lines. Optical Carrier 96 or OC-96 Lines transmit a data rate speed of 4,976.64 Megabits per second (Mbps). Local ISP's and WISP's will use T3 line circuits as the backbone of their client based broadband delivery and any user of Tier 1 carrier grade bandwidth that has outgrown T1 and NxT1 plans. A T1 Line is sold one of three different ways such as a full T1, channelized T1 and fractional T1 line. The copper cable with Gigabit Ethernet will usually only reach a distance of 25 meters. When related to Gigabit Ethernet, a copper connection may only reach 25 meters while the technologically advanced LX method can reach up to 550 meters. The key is to safeguard intellectual property and ensure compliance within your environment. Asynchronous, the opposite of synchronous when relating to Internet, the Bandwidth is occurring at different times. The International Network, or commonly recognized as the Internet and the World Wide Web are not the same. Universities and dedicated call centers are the type of businesses that are well-suited for a T3 line. There are four kinds of physical layer standards for gigabit Ethernet using optical fiber, balanced copper cable or twisted pair cable. The last criterion is to source a telecommunications solution that will be able to service you in future. WISP System services for wireless and wired connectivity via T1 Internet Lines, T3 Data Lines, DS1 Line Bandwidth, DS3 Bandwidth Rates, MPLS Networks, P2P, VPN Companies, Information Technology Solutions, WiFi Hotspot Services, WiMAX and Telecom Networks. This is overkill for most average-sized businesses and is extremely costly to upgrade from a T1 to a T3. Once the T1 technology exists at a business is it relatively easy to increase the number of T1 lines that are needed over time. There are many different telecom carriers that offer bonded T1 line services, and T1 prices are different per carrier. Use the form above to generate bonded T1 quotes from several service providers. Currently, the price is 200 dollars per mile due to the excess dark fiber available. If you have a T1 you will be paying quite a bit more than you did for your DSL connection. This is due to the structure of T1 pricing but the SLA will be better. Written by: Patrick Oborn - Jul 3, 2009 T1 speed connections aren't just for large corporations any more. As pricing declines many people are opting for the more reliable and flexible service over a DSL connection. Also, the growing number of bandwidth hungry applications like ASP service, VOIP, streaming video and graphic heavy files is pushing the demand for more reliable connections. So, what does it take to get one of these connections? Getting a connection isn't as complicated as it was just two years ago. Products have been streamlines and bundled for small businesses to be able to take advantage. While a standard connection was between $1,000 and $2,000 just a few years ago a small business can now find integrated service including both voice and data on a single line for as little as $500! For most companies this is comparable the price they already pay for DSL service and their phone service. So why not switch? Switching to a more reliable connection is not only less expensive than a few years ago, the implementation has been streamlined. Companies quote a minimum of 30 days to perform an installation but some can perform the implementation in as few as 20 days! While this is possible with some companies not all companies are capable of this speed yet. Much of the implementation process is handled by the LEC (Local Exchange Carrier) and is out of the hand of your service provider. With the reduced price and streamlined implementation available you may want to reconsider your current connections and get a large company service at a small company price. |
